Where do I start?

Chances are, you are reading this because one (or more) of your kids is struggling with anxiety, depression or another mental health issue. Maybe you have received a diagnosis; maybe you have noticed that your child just isn't themselves. Maybe there's  extreme behaviour or complete withdrawal. Either way, it's damn scary when you don't know how to help. I have never felt so helpless and lonely as I have parenting kids with a mental illness.  And there's SO much guilt. Society says this, doctors say that, therapists say something else. Where do we start? How the hell do we get through each day, let alone help our kids get through this? I am not an expert, but have been on a 6 year journey helping my kids with anxiety and depression. And I want to share with you what I have learned, both in therapy and in my studies (Psychology).
